The fountains of Roquebrune
A small French town on the banks of the river Argens

It's instantly clear, by looking around and listening, that Roquebrune, a small Provençal town, is made of earth and water. Founded at the beginning of the year 1000, it is dominated by "Le Rocher", an imposing mass of red earth which is reflected in the waters of the Argens, the river which has always protected it.

The waters of the Argens do not only surround Roquebrune but also run through the town quenching its thirst, emerging from countless fountains in the middle of small squares, under old arcades and in the shade of tall trees. And it is the Argens that marks time and the seasons at Roquebrune.
