Nato nel 1953 ha iniziato l'attività giornalistica nel 1980 per il quotidiano "Paese
Sera", nella redazione di Firenze.
Per diversi anni in Africa poi in Australia ha lavorato in Medio
Oriente e Balcani. Ha collaborato con le agenzie delle Nazioni Unite e
facendo reportage e articoli per "La Repubblica", L'Universo", "La
Nazione", "L'Unione Sarda" e altri giornali e agenzie.
Ha pubblicato i volumi "Mozambico: da emergenza a sviluppo" (1989) per
il Ministero degli Affari Esteri Italiano, il volume "Io c'ero...I was there..."
(FAN editrice - 1996) per il trentennale dell'alluvione di
Firenze; "4 Novembre 1966. L'alluvione a Firenze" (Ibiskos Editrice Risolo - 2006); "Elogio della bistecca. Dalla chianina alla tavola" (Ibiskos Editrice Risolo - 2008) .
Attualmente è direttore responsabile dell'agenzia di informazione

On Line e
di vari speciali quali Firenze: l'alluvione di 30 anni dopo, Mozambico,
immagini di un paese africano, Kuwait, era l'inferno, Rifugiati dal
Kosovo e altri.
Ha collaborato col Ministero dell'Ambiente come responsabile del
sito web del progetto "Le Città Sostenibili delle Bambine e dei Bambini",
presso l'Istituto degli Innocenti di Firenze. Tra il 2005 e il 2007 è stato responsabile del portale Child Inclusion, progetto UE affidato all'Istituto degli Innocenti.
E' redattore delle testate on line IdI Notizie dell'Istituto degli Innocenti e Minori.it del Centro nazionale di documentazione e analisi per l'infanzia e l'adolescenza di Firenze.

He was born in 1953
and started his profession in 1980 as a photojournalist for "Paese
Sera" newspaper.
He has lived for several years in Africa and Australia
travelling in Middle East and Balcan countries collaborating for
agencies of the United Nations and contributed articles for major
newspapers and magazines as "La Repubblica", "La Nazione", "L'Unione
Sarda", "L'Universo" and other papers and agencies.
He also published the book "Mozambico: da emergenza a sviluppo" (Mozambique: from Emergency to Development)
(1989) for the Italian Ministery of Foreign Affairs; the book "Io
c'ero...I was there..." (FAN editrice - 1996) for the thirtieth
anniversary of the Florence flood; the book "4th November 1966. The flood in Florence" (Ibiskos Publisher Risolo - 2006); and the book "Elogio della bistecca. Dalla chianina alla tavola" ("In Praise of the Steak. From Chianina Cattle to the Dish") (Ibiskos Publisher Risolo - 2008).
He is head editor of the News Agency CatPress,
publishing house of the webmagazines Florence ART News, Blue Planet,
Photojournalist On Line and various special issues asFlorence: Thirty
Years After the Flood, Refugees from Kosovo, Kuwait Was Hell,
Mozambique, Images of an African Country and others.
He was also consultant of the Italian Ministery of the Environment
for the web site "Le Città Sostenibili delle Bambine e dei Bambini" (Sustainable Cities for Children) at Istituto degli Innocenti
of Florence, Italy. In
2005 he was responsible for the web portal Child Inclusion, a EU project managed by Istituto degli Innocenti.
